Privacy Policy

PENUELVISION STUDIOS ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how it is handled.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways:

  • Information you provide directly. When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), project type and the message you send.
  • Information provided for project work. When you are a client, you may upload video, audio, images, documents and other project material to the client portal.
  • Technical information. Standard server logs may record your IP address, browser type, referring page and the time of your visit. This is used for security and to keep the site working.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to enquiries and provide quotes.
  • To deliver, review and invoice project work.
  • To operate the client portal, including authenticating your account and giving you access to your own project files.
  • To protect the site against spam, abuse and unauthorised access.
  • To comply with legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising networks.

3. Client Portal

Access to the client portal is issued by us directly. There is no public registration. Accounts are personal and must not be shared. Each account can only see the project files assigned to it.

Uploaded files are stored on our own server and are not published, indexed by search engines, or made available through public links. Files are served only after your account has been authenticated and permission has been checked.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The site uses a small number of cookies that are necessary for it to function:

  • Session cookies — keep you signed in to the client portal.
  • Security cookies — protect forms against cross-site request forgery and abuse.

Embedded YouTube videos may set their own cookies when you press play. That is governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours. We use privacy-enhanced embedding where available.

5. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following services to operate:

  • Hosting and content delivery. The public website is served through a content delivery network; the client portal is hosted on our own server.
  • YouTube (Google LLC). Showreel and portfolio videos are embedded from YouTube. Playing a video connects your browser to Google's servers.
  • Google reCAPTCHA. Used on the contact form to distinguish people from automated submissions.
  • Email delivery. Used to reply to enquiries and to send project notifications.

6. Data Retention

Enquiry messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and for our business records. Project files are kept for the duration of the project and for a reasonable period afterwards so you can retrieve your deliverables, after which they may be deleted. You can ask us to delete your files sooner.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access checks on every file request, and restricted storage that is not publicly reachable. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

You may ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate.
  • Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent for future contact.

9. Children

Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International Users

We are based in Canada. If you contact us from another country, your information will be processed in Canada and by the service providers listed above, which may be located elsewhere. We handle it in accordance with this policy.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
